Sun Poker is the poker paradise where kings and queens play online poker. It is a decent online poker package with average verdicts in all aspects, aside from the excellent customer support. The software lacks behind slightly due to low functionality and perhaps a tad too dull graphics. Plenty of people play here, enough to engage players at low, medium and high stakes. Software

Sun Poker uses licensed software from WaterLogic. It is powerful and mature after years and years of operation, but lacks behind in what the industry leaders of today provide. The lobby is of average type with little or close to no features at all. You have the regular menu, but you cannot sort between different stakes and limit types. The table offers more functionality but falls behind on features like player notes. It is fairly customizable but nothing out of the ordinary. This software is by all means not poor, but if good visuals and lots of functionality is your beef, look elsewhere.

Traffic

Sun Poker has been around since poker first started booming on the internet. This usually transcends to high user traffic and Sun Poker is no exception. During peak hours, approximately 5,000 users sit down at the tables. Roughly one third of these players will be found at the ring game tables. 5,000 may not sound like much, but it is enough to provide for action at most of the stakes.

The list of tournaments offered by Sun Poker is decent but nothing to hang up high in a Christmas tree. Game Variety

Sun Poker is doing good in terms of game variety. All Texas Hold'em variations are available, 7 Card Stud is supported and Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo is there as well. We particularly like the one on one tables, which have become so popular that it deserved its very own section. Unfortunately, turbo or fast poker is not supported.

Soft Competition

Every ocean is the home to a fish. Sun Poker is attracting a mixture of sharks and rookies who don't perform particularly well. The viewed flops percentage is unfortunately low and often below 50 % even at lower stakes. Tight play is not always equivalent to good play, however.
