Tablemates That Can Help Your Game : |
There are many things to keep in mind when trying to play poker effectively. Making sure that you are betting, raising, and folding at the right time and keeping an eye out on what your opponents are doing are some of the more important things that you have to do. However, there are some other things to keep in mind – some things that we can’t always control. Having opponents or tablemates that will help you to win sitting and playing with at the same table is something that is great to have. You need to know how to spot these certain players and use their weaknesses against them. We have compiled a list of some of the best tablemates to have. Learn and memorize the list to get an idea of what to look for. The next time that you play look for these types of people and see if you can spot them and beat them. Just remember not to be one of these players. - Certain players who receive starting hands that most people would hate like – K-J and Q-10 – are great to play with because you can use the information you garner from them to your advantage. You will be able to understand exactly what they do to make it work or even if they know exactly what they are doing. - With that being said we also love to see players who start with hands that they just can’t stand with cards like A-Q and A-A. Players like this usually over compensate for what they get or act out in fear by under betting or even betting too much. - The players who rely on skill instead of the luck of the game are some of the easiest to knock off track. Try putting down some small pairs and connectors till you can smack them with something strong and confuse them. - Those players who have a mind for math can sometimes be bad players to have at your table because of how good they are – but sometimes they can do certain things that will help you. Some of these mathematicians bet too much and lose all of the odds that started off in their favor because they have miss-calculated. They may be annoying at times to deal with – but you have a strong chance of beating them in the end. - Some players are best suited for ‘limit’ games – but will often try their hand at certain ‘no-limit’ games to see how well they do. These people are often sensitive when it comes to raising. They can’t stand it when people raise most of the time because they think that this player is trying to be the ‘boss’ of the game. These players will usually wait for just the right cards before they play anything and will gain most of their chips from the small pots. - The most annoying players to have to sit with are the ones that have the biggest egos and think are the best ones of the game. They are condescending to all of the other players and often have high emotions when you try to match or call their hand. Hint; they act this way because they are insecure. The trick is to show no fear to them and to show them that their ‘confidence’ doesn’t affect you one bit. This will make them fear you and will make them play poorly. |
